Using the waffle maker

Basic recipes

Using the waffle maker

We recommend that the FIRST TIME YOU SWITCH ON AFTER PURCHASE that you delicately brush the plates before heating them and to throw away the first wafers produced to eliminate any residual from the production.
Place the CBE waffle maker on a flat surface, possibly protected by a cloth.
Plug the power cord into the socket and ensure that it is earthed. Wait about 10 minutes until it reaches working temperature and open the waffle maker using the wooden handles.
With a cloth or a silicon kitchen brush spread a thin layer of olive oil on the mould so that you will be able to remove the biscuits easily. This operation must be done only after heating the plate and once only.
Insert the dough with a spoon and close it again using the wooden handles.
When cooked (about 20/40 seconds according to the type of sweet prepared) open the waffle maker.
Take out the biscuit with a spatula or a fork.
At the end of use, remove the plug and wait for the internal surface to cool completely, delicately clean any residue from the food and/or oil and put it away after placing a sheet of absorbent paper between the plates.

Examples of basic recipes and preparation

We recommend switching on the waffle maker just before you start mixing the ingredients. As far as the manual mould is concerned, this can be heated as soon as the preparation of the dough is completed.

1) INGREDIENTS: Eggs, sugar, oil, flour, grated lemon peel and/or aromas according to taste, yeast if necessary

2) Break the eggs in a bowl suitable for the quantity desired and beat them lightly

3) Add the sugar and beat well

4) Pour in the oil and mix

5) Add the flour a little at a time and mix

6) Finally add the aromas and mix.

7) Open the already hot waffle maker or mould, first oil the lower plate and then the upper plate and close it again for a few seconds

8) Open the mould once more and pour about a spoonful of the dough into the centre of the plate and close it using the wooden handles. According to the pressure placed on the handles, the thickness of the wafer will change.

9) After about 10/20 seconds remove the wafer with a spatula or fork and let it cool on a wire rack or plate.
